Nick Birkenhauer is a business lawyer who focuses his practice on helping employers with all aspects of Human Resources and Employment Law. Nick has extensive experience working with employers of all sizes and across a wide array of industries, including healthcare and manufacturing. Nick works side-by-side on a daily basis with management and human resources professionals to help his clients achieve their organizational goals.

Nick has extensive employment litigation experience, having successfully practiced at all levels of Kentucky and Ohio state and federal courts. Nick also regularly represents his clients before state and federal administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Kentucky Human Rights Commission, and Kentucky Unemployment Commission. In addition to his employment work, Nick has broad business and commercial litigation experience.

Outside the office, Nick is active in the community. Nick currently serves as the Chairman of the Salvation Army of Northern Kentucky Advisory Council. He is active with the Alliance for Catholic Urban Education, and serves on the Congregation of Divine Providence Development Advisory Board. Nick also enjoys spending time with HR professional groups, and currently is serving as the President of the Northern Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (NKY SHRM). Nick has been active with NKY SHRM since he first began practicing law, and he also serves as its Legislative Chair and legal counsel.

Nick is a Northern Kentucky native and resides in Newport, Kentucky with his family.
