NKY SHRM Newsletter - January 2026 Print

Words from the President

Hello and Happy New Year to the NKY SHRM Community!

I would first like to start by thanking our outgoing President, Holly Duffy, for a wonderful year in 2025. I look forward to serving as your President in 2026 and am pleased that Vicki Crawford will serve as Vice President.

It was wonderful to spend time with you at our Annual Basket Raffle Fundraising Event. We are pleased that, with your help, we raised funds to support Caped Canines Assistance Academy. Now that the holidays are over, many of us are focusing our attention towards the new year.

Our next meeting in January should help you do that. At our next meeting, on January 27, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Receptions, Elizabeth Galperin, CEO of Peak Productivity, will present “New Year, Next Level You: Habits for High-Performing HR Professionals and Teams.” In the session, we will learn the steps to form and maintain good habits. I hope that you will join us for this informative session.

If one of your goals for the New Year is to get more involved with NKY SHRM, I encourage you to reach out. We have a wonderful and experienced Board of Directors and continue to enjoy support from Chapter Administrator, Mary Spadaro, but we are continuing to search for a Treasurer to help us keep NKY SHRM’s financial matters in order. We also always have opportunities to join committees if you want more involvement but are not ready for a Board role. Please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested.

In case you cannot wait for our next meeting or want to prepare for it, I will leave you with a few articles on habit formation for HR professionals:
